The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) organised from March 3 - 5, 2015, an avanced course on detection, quantification and modelling strategies for environmental engineered nanomaterials.

The training course was organised within the ENTER COST Action programme and focused on the approaches and strategies to detect, quantify and model engineered nanomaterials and their toxity.

25 PhD students and early stage researchers working in the field of nanomaterials attended the course which included lectures, tutorial sessions and lab tours.

The course gathered speakers from all over Europe: Dr Geert Cornelis from the University of Gothenburg (Sweden), Dr Luciana Dini from the University of Salento (Italy), Dr Domingos Rute from IPGP (France), Dr Susana Loureiro from the University of Aveiro (Portugal), Dr Ailbhe Macken from the Norvegian Institute of Water Research (Norway), MSc. Markus Arjen from the University of Amsterdam (the Netherlands), Dr Marco Monopoli from the University College of Dublin (Ireland) and Jean-Nicholas Audinot of the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology.
