The AGROPTIMIZE spin-off to market the results of a transnational research partnership

Published on 12/05/2016

LIST is pleased to announce that the AGROPTIMIZE company will market the results of several years of research it has conducted with the Arlon Campus of the University of Liège and which are now integrated in the PhytoProTech® solution.

PhytoProTech® is a decision support tool for farmers which is in line with new precision farming practices. Using models from the research which take, in particular, local data from plots of land (historical, weather, etc.) and crop phenology into consideration, this software tool is a phytosanitary alert system in arable crops of fungal diseases in soft winter wheat, winter barley, as well as rapeseed pests. It indicates the best use of phytosanitary products on a plot-by-plot basis. The features of PhytoProTech® will be expanded, ultimately, to other crops and diseases to cover the entire crop rotation cycle with a single solution.

The AGROPTIMIZE spin-off, established as an initiative of the University of Liège, the French company DRONE AGRICOLE and LIST, aims to become a major European player in Decision Support Tools (DST) and Precision Farming Tools (PFT). It will draw on the expertise of LIST's Environmental Research and Innovation department in crop protection and the University of Liège in modelling the use of inputs to quickly expand its product range.
