SYSBIONAMA project results published in Nature

Published on 03/11/2015

A team of researchers from the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) and from the Eco-Systems Biology research group at the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) of the University of Luxembourg have just published results of their SYSBIONAMA "Systems biology of natural microbial assemblages" project in the prestigious Multidisciplinary Journal of Microbial Ecology (ISMEJ) of the Nature Publishing Group. The SYSBIONAMA project co-funded by the National Research Fund (FNR) within its ATTRACT programme, gathers together several partners from Luxembourg, the United States, Belgium and Austria. The objective of the project is to analyse microbial communities with advanced molecular biology technologies (genomics, transcrotomics, proteomics and metabolomics) to develop predictive models to control and thus direct microbial ecosystems towards desired outcomes.

For more information, visit the LCSB website, the FNR website or read the abstract on Nature website.
