CrossCult, a new European project

Published on 25/05/2016

On May 23 and 24, 2016, the Horizon 2020-funded project "Empowering reuse of digital cultural heritage in context-aware crosscuts of European history" (CrossCult) held its kickoff meeting at Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST). Ranked 1 out of 137 proposals submitted during the call for projects dedicated to the theme of cultural heritage and European identities, CrossCult aims to stimulate a change in the way European citizens understand history thanks to the contribution of innovative ICT technologies.

LIST coordinates the project and gathers around him more than a dozen European partners (universities, research centers, cultural venues, etc.) from Spain, Greece, United-Kingdom, Malta, France, Italy and Luxembourg. In Luxembourg, the institutions involved in the project are, in addition to LIST, the Centre Virtuel de la Connaissance sur l’Europe (CVCE) and the City of Luxembourg.

This project will also involved LIST expertise in:

  • smart customized guiding,
  • crowd management and computing,
  • living lab.
