From 4 - 7June 2019, the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) will participate in the Transport Logistic fair in Munchen (Germany).
This exhibition is the world's leading trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT, and supply chain management. It represents the entire value chain of the transport and logistics industry. At the trade fair, more and more exhibitors from Germany and all around the world present their innovative products and services.
LIST, who will be present on the Luxembourgish booth organised by the Ministry of the Economy, will showcase its activities related to smart waste management and more particularly SWAM, a project financed by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR). With SWAM, LIST and Polygone aim to create a smart waste collection system relying on data generated by new fill-level sensor technologies integrated into waste bins. During the event, the project concept will be presented through a small-scale interactive demonstration. This technology may generally benefit to any company belonging to the “collection of non-hazardous waste” sector, by naturally reducing CO2 and hazardous gas emissions, leading to eco-responsible behaviours in Luxembourg and abroad.
More information is available on the fair website.
