LISTalks on Energy Transition: On the dominant role of power electronics in modern power systems

The "LISTalks" conference series brings together stakeholders, researchers, industry and authorities to answer state of the art research and innovation questions on our environment, climate change, and sustainability in strategies and design.

The first webinar preceding the ETDL’2022 will start by providing an overview of the trends and new solutions developed by the industry to respond to the new challenges and opportunities posed by new power systems. It will then discuss the paradox of how the most modern grid-connected converters have been inspired by those synchronous machines developed more than a century ago, and how they are being used in some relevant applications.

This session is moderated by André GUIMARAES MADUREIRA, Group Leader at Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology, LU
