The Ministry of Economy-the Luxembourg Space Agency, the University of Luxembourg-Faculty of Law, Economics, and Finance (FDEF), the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) with the support of the Chamber of Deputies and the European Commission-JRC are co-organizing the one-day conference titled "Space solutions for sustainability on Earth" on 4th October 2019 at the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg.
The objective is to build closer links between scientists, academia and policy makers focused on the environmental topic for a culture of evidence-informed policy making.
The conference-workshop is structured in two sections.
The first section envisages the opening of the event with a group of keynote speakers who will address the environmental political needs of Luxembourg pursuant the Luxembourg Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The second section comprehends two sessions dedicated to the main space technologies:
1. The use of Earth Observation for sustainable development &
2. The use of GNSS for mobility and transport (intelligent transportation system)
