SEMINAR - CLIMATE EMERGENCY AND EDUCATION

 

The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) is partner of the cultural, educational and scientific event Climate Emergency "PLANETE NANUK", organized by the French Embassy in Luxembourg, the City of Luxembourg, the French Institute of Luxembourg and the Victor Hugo Association.

This seminar, organized by the French Institute of Luxembourg, in partnership with the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology, brings together a dozen French and Luxembourg experts on global warming for an exchange on education for sustainable development and on the place of youth in the fight against climate change.

Speakers: Lucien Hoffmann, Director of Erin department (LIST) - Laurent Pfister, Climatologist (LIST) - Thomas Gibon, Researcher in industrial ecology (LIST) - Laurence Tubiana, Director of the European Foundation for Climate (ECF) - Anny Cazenave, Researcher at the Laboratory of Geophysical and Spatial Ocean Studies (LEGOS) in Toulouse - Valérie Masson‐Delmotte, Director of Research at the Laboratory of Climate and Environmental Sciences (LSCE), of the Central commission of nuclear energy (CEA) - Franck Courchamp, Researcher in Ecology at Paris-Sud University - Gaël Durand, Researcher at the CNRS, Deputy Director of the Institute of Environmental Geosciences in Grenoble - Tania Gibéryen, polar.lu - Mikå Mered, professor of geopolitics of the Arctic and Antarctic poles at ILERI - Michel Bourban, Philosopher - Olivier Francis, Geophysicist at the University of Luxembourg.
