Cognitive environments are connected physical spaces that provide digital tools for workers to complete their tasks while detecting and measuring their activity to provide them with feedback and predictions in a natural and multimodal way.

What does a cognitive space look like?

A cognitive space provides cooperative devices such as tangible and multi-touch tables and different types of wearables. Tangible tables allow interaction with a virtual environment thanks to physical objects. To follow user dynamics, the cognitive space is equipped with cameras, microphones, sound systems, 360° projections, lighting, sensors and actuators. The technologies that equip these spaces consist of a blend of Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality, data analytics, data visualisation, and Internet of things.
