Developing Cradle to Cradle® inspired business sites – principles, tools and financial models

This conference is part of the “Betriber & Emwelt” event series. The Environmental Administration and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) through its Environmental Resource Centre (ERC) offer a series of information sessions and training to companies and public organisations on topics related to the environment.

Objectives

The aim of this conference is to present the final results of the C2C BIZZ project, addressing the steps and principles for developing a Cradle to Cradle® (C2C) inspired site, as well as tendering and financing models that make such sites viable. The C2C approach is an innovation platform for designing beneficial economic, social and environmental features into products, processes and systems.

Public

The target groups for this event are communes, public authorities involved in site development and private enterprises involved in area development, planning, construction and site/building management, as well as companies interested in implementing circular economy in their activities.

Programme

C2C BIZZ (Cradle to Cradle in business sites) is an INTERREG IVB collaboration project between 11 North West European partners with the objective of enhancing the implementation of Cradle to Cradle on new and existing business sites.

Since 2011, several pilot sites in the partnership have been developed according to C2C principles. Using the project’s pilot sites as practical examples, the benefits of C2C site development and relevant tools developed within the project will be presented. The event will facilitate the transfer of best practices and learning from public and private site developers in Luxembourg and partner countries and examine how circular concepts for site development can be applied to the Luxembourg context.
