Energy management system for smart sustainable buildings: planning, operation and optimal integration in the smart energy system

Final workshop FNR CORE project gENESiS (In person)

The gENESiS project, funded by the Luxembourg Fonds National de la Recherche, focused on smart sustainable buildings (SSBs) and their integration in smart electricity distribution grids. gENESiS proposed optimization-driven approaches for modelling SSBs across three phases (SSBs design, energy management system operation of SSBs, and large-scale integration of SSBs into smart power grids for providing flexibility services) as well as optimal operation of low voltage grids taking advantage of SSBs’ flexibility.

The gENESiS final workshop will take place at LIST's premises, on 3 October 2022.

In its first part, the workshop will present an overview of the main findings and outcomes of the project gENESiS, along with a critical outlook on prevalent challenges and future research directions.

The second part of the workshop will host keynote talks of four widely recognized researchers in the core topics of gENESiS project, namely optimal operation of SSBs, smart low voltage distribution grids and their interaction.
