The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), IBM and Inetum are pleased to invite you to attend the event "A JOURNEY TO DATA & AI: How to accelerate AI/DA adoption in financial services or industry 4.0 in Luxembourg" with support from Luxembourg Digital Innovation Hub on April, 13th 2023 @LIST, 41 rue du Brill - Belvaux
Al & DA as business enabler
Deploying AI becomes relatively easy with the right tools. With this growth, it becomes harder to govern and track the right usage of Machine Learning within different applications. The recent introduction of the EU AI Act and other regulatory texts put this problem into words. At IBM we try to put these words into actions by using technology to govern and monitor critical AI models at every step of the process. The governance process starts before we build the model and never ends afterwards since we need constant monitoring and readjustments of the models. Ann-Elise will highlight the importance of the EU AI Act and how her team has implemented this in their recent engagements.
Q&A (15’)
LIST made an important investment to set-up an AI and Data Analytics infrastructure to support both its R&D projects and the digitisation of Luxembourg and GREATER REGION ecosystem. After a brief overview of the infrastructure capabilities and expertise available, Samuel will illustrate how it has been used so far with AI and high-performance data analytics examples from LIST’s projects. Then he will present how companies can access this unique infrastructure and can have support to test AI and Data Analytics technologies before making any investment decision. Luxembourg Digital Innovation Hub will be introduced and its offerings for the purpose of testing before investing will be presented.
Q&A (10’)
Astronomy and sky observation continue to fascinate: who hasn't seen the images obtained with data captured by the James Webb Telescope? During the MILAN research project (MachIne Learning for AstroNomy) funded by the Fond National de la Recherche, LIST has used VAONIS's automated observation stations to collect deep sky data. Olivier will present how the AIDA platform has been used to process such images and data.
