24 October: Conference on selective deconstruction & reuse

Published on 11/10/2019

As part of its Betriber&Emwelt initiative, the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) invites you to a new information session on the deconstruction and reuse of materials, which will take place on 24 October 2019 from 2pm to 5pm at the Administrative Building (Bâtiment administratif) at Esch-Belval. This information session is organised in partnership with the Environment Administration, the Chamber of Trade and SuperDrecksKescht.

For many years now, the problems relating to the management of elements and materials that result from demolition or renovation works have been a major talking point. Then there is the issue of reusing these materials in similar, adapted or entirely different ways. Both in Luxembourg and abroad, various initiatives have been implemented, demonstrating that reuse is an increasingly popular trend.

A further issue relates to the ecological, economic and social benefits presented by reuse. In this sense, this conference will focus in particular on the reasons that should encourage the construction industry to take a greater interest in reuse. To this end, there will be a varied programme with contributors presenting concrete examples of the reuse of materials.

As is customary, there will be a drinks reception at the end of the conference. This will give participants the opportunity to speak to all the contributors, ask them any questions and continue the discussions in a relaxed atmosphere.

So don't miss the opportunity to update your knowledge and talk to the experts who will be there.
