Discover "C2C BIZZ" project final results

Published on 10/02/2015

Communes, public authorities involved in site development and private companies involved in area development, planning, construction and site/building management, as well as companies interested in implementing circular economy in their activities, are invited to discover the final results of the European project "C2C BIZZ" (Cradle to Cradle in business sites) during a dedicated conference. Co-funded by the Interreg IVB programme, "C2C BIZZ" brought together for more than 4 years 11 North West European partners, including Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), to enhance the implementation of Cradle to Cradle® - an innovation platform for designing beneficial economic, social and environmental features into products, processes and systems - on new and existing business sites.

The conference "Developing Cradle to Cradle® inspired business sites - principles, tools and financial models" organised by LIST in collaboration with Ecoparc Windhof and the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, the other project partners in Luxembourg, will take place on Tuesday, February 24th, 2015 from 12.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. in Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology in Luxembourg-Kirchberg. This event will not only facilitate the transfer of best practices and learning from public and private site developers in Luxembourg and partner countries, it will also examine how circular concepts for site development can be applied to the Luxembourg context, by addressing:

  • the steps and principles for developing a Cradle to Cradle® (C2C) inspired site,
  • the tendering and financing models that make such sites viable,
  • the benefits of C2C site development,
  • the tools developed within the project.

The conference will be opened by Camille Gira, Secretary of State for Sustainable Development and Infrastructure and will count with presence as speakers of Christian Tock, Attaché de Gouvernement at the Ministry of the Economy, Romain Poulles, President of the Luxembourg EcoInnovation Cluster, and Owen Zachariasse of the Delta Development Group (Netherlands). It is part of the "Betriber & Emwelt" event series in which the Environment Administration and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) offer a series of information sessions and training to companies and public organisations on topics related to the environment.
