Information session « Comment mettre en place un système de veille réglementaire ? »

On 18 May 2017, 30 participants, including experts from industry, consultancies and public organisations and authorities, met at LIST to discuss approaches and challenges when monitoring ever evolving environmental legislation.

The event was organised in the framework of the “Betriber & Emwelt” series aimed at increasing regular interaction and open dialogue on environmental topics between Luxembourgish stakeholders, in particular Luxembourgish companies.

Discussions focused on the different types of regulatory watch, information sources at international, European and Luxembourgish level and good practices with respect to monitoring. Experts from consultancies, Luxcontrol and Simon-Christiansen & Associés, gave insights into approaches and innovation in environmental legislation monitoring. Innovative and collaborative approaches to regulatory monitoring were also on the agenda. Guichet.lu explained how a public organisation whose core business is the dissemination of up-to-date information on national performs its regulatory monitoring. Completing the picture were speakers from ArcelorMittal and St. Gobain Abrasives who reported on industry experience and the approaches and systems in place in their companies to efficiently monitor regulatory changes in the area of environmental regulation.

Attendants participated actively in the discussions and considered the meeting as an important opportunity to exchange with each other and share experience. Discussions were continued at a networking cocktail at LIST premises.
