Integration of IoT and satellite highlighted at the AdHoc-Now 2019 conference

The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) organises the 18th International Conference on Ad Hoc Networks and Wireless (AdHoc-Now 2019) that will take place in Luxembourg-Kirchberg at Melia Hotel on 1-3 October 2019.

Dedicated to wireless and mobile mesh computing, Adhoc-Now 2019 will address the current and future status of Internet of Things (IoT) applications, among others in the areas of Disaster Management, precision Agriculture and Environmental Monitoring and Management, with a particular focus on the integration of IoT with remote sensing, satellite communication, and satellite navigation.

As Maria Rita Palattella, researcher from LIST's Environmental Research and Innovation (ERIN) department, explains : « AdHoc-Now serves as a forum for interesting discussions on ongoing research and new contributions in the field of Wireless, Mobile, and Ad-Hoc Networks. This year edition focuses on new innovative satellite-based IoT applications and services. The event aims to bring together Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and Satellite Communication (SATCOM) experts from National and International research institutions, academia, industry, start-up and investors. We are now starting disseminating  the call for papers. I am delighted to be chairing this year’s session taking place in Luxembourg ».
