Luxembourg at the "Fabrique numérique"

Published on 04/06/2018

The Cultural Mission of Luxembourg in France has just forged a new partnership between Luxembourg and the Digital Arts Centre in Enghien-les-Bains with the primary initiative being participation of the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) at Fabrique Numérique as part of the Biennale Bains Numériques 2018 held in Enghien-les-Bains (FR).

BAINS NUMÉRIQUES

Bains numériques, an international biennial event, consolidates the commitment of Enghien-les-Bains, a UNESCO creative city of digital arts, towards digital creation and hybridisation between arts, sciences and technology.  From 14th to 17th June, this cross-disciplinary free-to-attend event, led by the Town through its Arts Centre, will be directed under the theme of HUMAN FUTURE. Installations, exhibitions, performances, laboratories, workshops and concerts will all be held in public areas, allowing visitors to be transported to new spaces to fuel their imagination.

FABRIQUE NUMÉRIQUE / 15 & 16 JUNE 2018

In keeping with the theme of "Human Future" of the 10th edition of Bains Numériques, Fabrique numérique  wanted to focus on the question of the place held by humans in the urban space of the future, through the presentation of newly-developed projects, prototypes and art projects focusing on three research domains, namely artificial intelligence, robotics and new learning methods.

PARTICIPATION OF LIST

LIST will be present for this first participation of Luxembourg with the "Traces" project: fitted with a mobile app developed as part of the European CrossCult project, visitors will be invited to reclaim art and technology and share their thoughts on the relations that these have with the future of humanity, through installations and events at Fabrique Numérique. In so doing, they will disseminate traces forming their Digital Being. Between the outside and the stand, visitors can explore these traces and discover how the behaviour of this physical and digital crowd may be anticipated and even influenced.  The technologies present will allow for tangible interactions, connected objects and visualisation.
