On 3 September 2017, the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) presented its research activities to the public around the potato plants at the 2017 edition of the "Gromperefest" in Binsfeld, Luxembourg.

Visitors at the fair could learn facts and figures about the potato, such as history, biodiversity and nutritional composition. Then they could test their knowledge and luck by participating in a quiz, and a wheel of fortune for the chance to win a gift.

At LIST's stand the public also could learn about the research performed by the scientists of LIST on potatoes, such as virus and bacterias liberation via thermotherapy and in vitro techniques. The public could also carry out experiments related to the potatoes with the help of the scientists to discover a fun scientific world.

LIST's participation at the Gromperefest not only support's Luxembourg's efforts in raising awareness for science and innovation but also strengthens LIST’s ambition of contributing to a better quality of life in Luxembourg.
