Luxembourg’s Parliament delegation pays visit to LIST

Published on 10/10/2017

On 6 October 2017, the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) welcomed a delegation from the Parliament of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in its showroom at the Belval research and innovation campus in Esch/Alzette (LU). After a general introduction of LIST’s work and mission as a Research and Technology Organisation (RTO), Jens Kreisel, Director of the Materials Research and Technology Department (MRT), took the delegation on a hands-on guided tour through the various research outputs on display in the showroom. The visit was then completed with a lunch in the presence of stakeholders of the Belval community.

The delegation was mainly composed of members of the parliamentary administration and was organised by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) in order to identify new avenues for documentation and exchange between Luxembourg’s Chamber of Deputies and the national research and innovation community. Next to visiting LIST, the delegation also made stops at the University of Luxembourg, the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) and the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biology (LCSB).
