Mobility of tomorrow at the heart of LIST’s “Mobiclus” project, supported by Indosuez Wealth Management and the Fondation pour le Climat

Indosuez Wealth Management and the Fondation pour le Climat have announced their support for the “Mobiclus” research project of the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST).  Its aim: to better understand and improve employee mobility practices within industrialized and densified urban zones in Luxembourg.

A study with real-world use at its core

Mobiclus tackles a simple but crucial question: how do employees get around daily, and how can those journeys be made more sustainable, more efficient and more enjoyable? To answer this question, the project relies on the responses of two complementary surveys: a questionnaire addressed to human resources and an anonymized survey addressed to nearly 1,000 employees of the project partners. This two-pronged approach aims to provide a clear assessment of the situation, identify the needs and expectations of employees, and devise mobility scenarios adapted to the realities on the ground.

At Indosuez, we firmly believe that sustainable mobility is an essential lever for improving not only the quality of life of our employees, but also for reducing our environmental footprint. The Mobiclus project gives us the opportunity to collaborate with scientific partners to develop innovative and pragmatic solutions. This initiative will contribute to creating a more responsible and pleasant working environment for all,” says Olivier Carcy, CEO of Indosuez Wealth Management Europe.

Mobiclus aims to help companies reconcile environmental performance, quality of working life and logistical fluidity. It examines current practices, the modes of transport used, possible levers for change, and identifies concrete obstacles to be overcome.

Supporting the Mobiclus project means investing in research that combines scientific precision with tangible impact on a local scale. By placing people and everyday use at the heart of this project, it perfectly illustrates the Fondation pour le Climat’s desire to support donor engagement for climate transitions rooted in everyday life”, adds Tonika Hirdman, Director General of the Fondation de Luxembourg, which hosts the Fondation pour le Climat under its aegis.

Founded in 2024, the Fondation pour le Climat supports corporate donors looking to support local projects to combat climate change and preserve biodiversity. A scientific committee of experts evaluates each project to ensure its alignment with environmental issues and thus contribute to Luxembourg's ecological transition objectives. As a pioneering sponsor of the foundation, Indosuez Wealth Management has benefited from its expertise in identifying, evaluating and selecting projects that meet the global objectives of sustainable transition.

A strategic tool for the future

The study’s results will be consolidated in an interactive dashboard, a valuable decision-making tool that allows users to visualize different mobility scenarios, measure their environmental and societal impacts - particularly on employee satisfaction - and inform the mobility policies of companies and institutions committed to the transition.

Mobiclus represents a fantastic opportunity to bring science closer to the concrete challenges facing companies. By combining data, behavioral analysis and modeling, we hope to co-construct realistic and sustainable mobility solutions, on the scale of employees' everyday lives”, explains Damien Nicolas, project manager at LIST.

This project marks an important step in the development of collaborations between scientific and economic players around climate transition issues, based on data-driven and human-centered approaches.
