New FNR funding for LIST

In December 2019, the FNR announced funding for the CORE, PSP-CLASSIC, BRIDGE, JUMP (Proof of Concept) and INTER programmes. In total, LIST will obtain €5.291 million for 12 projects. This is further proof of the quality of projects submitted by LIST researchers.

Here, sorted by funding programme, are the titles of the selected projects, the main contact and the respective amounts granted by the FNR:

CORE

CORE is the central funding programme of the FNR, with a prime objective to strengthen the scientific quality of Luxembourg’s public research in strategic priority areas.

PSP-CLASSIC

The aim of the “Promoting Science to the Public” funding programme is to bring science closer to society, in particular to Luxembourg society. The scheme funds projects that allow the target audience to interactively come into contact with science and research.

BRIDGES

The BRIDGES programme (formerly CORE-PPP) provides financial support for industry partnerships between public research institutions in Luxembourg and national or international companies. The next Call deadline is April 2020.

JUMP – Proof of Concept

The FNR JUMP programme is designed to help bridge the technical and funding gap between research-driven discoveries and their commercialisation/utilisation

INTER

The INTER Programme is the FNR’s main funding instrument to foster international collaboration. It aims to give Luxembourg’s public research a higher profile in the international context by providing funding for international collaboration.

Industrial Fellowship

LIST is also a partner in a project funded by the Industrial Fellowship programme, which aims to foster cooperation between Luxembourg companies active in R&D and public research institutions in Luxembourg and/or abroad. The programme awards PhD and Postdoc grants to researchers who carry out their training in collaboration with a company in Luxembourg.
