REACH&CLP Annual conference

On 14th December 2017, the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) organizes the annual conference of the REACH&CLP Helpdesk Luxembourg to be held at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.

During the first part of the conference, the REACH&CLP Helpdesk Luxembourg - a national service provided by LIST - will present the latest development of the key points of REACH and CLP related to your current and future obligations. This will be followed by a presentation, by the European Commission, on the link between the REACH regulation and occupational safety and health (OSH) legislation. The 2018 REACH registration deadline for small tonnages (1 - 100 tonnes / year) will also be addressed and the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) will provide you with the latest advice for you to achieve a successful registration. Further, the latest developments on nanomaterials under REACH will be presented by the REACH&CLP Helpdesk.

The second part of the event will be introduced by Ms Carole Dieschbourg, the minister of the environment. This second part will be mainly dedicated to the substitution topic under REACH with a presentation on the latest development of ECHA’s substitution strategy by ECHA and a presentation, by Luxinnovation, on available funding for companies which are working on alternatives.

Prior to the conference, you are invited to a networking lunch where you can discuss in a relaxed atmosphere with the team of the REACH&CLP Helpdesk Luxembourg, the speakers and the other participants.
