We are looking for a highly motivated candidate for the role of experienced engineer in the topic of preparation and formulation of colloidal nanomaterials to support our R&D efforts. The candidate will work within inter-disciplinary and multicultural team, and have access to the use of cutting-edge research tools for preparation and characterization of nanomaterials. The position will offer the opportunity to contribute to the implementation of a variety of research and developments projects in applied materials science.




Scope of responsibilities:

  • She/he will be an active member of different R&D projects, and will be responsible for developing new processes and protocols for increasing reliability and scalability of our particles or coating technology
  • Propose and contribute to the development of disruptive top down or/and bottom up approach for the production of nanoparticles
  • Provide technical support to the researcher team for the development of innovative nano / micro particle design
  • Will prepare professional quality reports for project internal/external communications including technical reports and patents
  • Will be responsible for maintenance and user-training on specific research equipments, and will contribute to the technical operation of related laboratories





    • A relevant master/engineering degree at the interface of chemical process engineering, colloidal physico-chemistry


    • Minimum 3 years of experience is required in an industrial or/and RTO environment
    • Strong experience in chemical process engineering with proven experience in upscaling technology in the domain of particles engineering
    • Know-how in establishing a DOE plan (Factorial plan and Process Optimization)
    • Knowledge and  technical experience in the synthesis of colloids or nanopowders using metal oxide or/and organic precursors (e.g. lipid, polymers)
    • An ideal candidate for this position would be proactive, well-organized, result-oriented, exhibits passion for experimental work, an excellent team player
    • She/he will report to the head of the group, and would participate in different projects of the group and transversal projects across the department


    • Fluently spoken English is mandatory
    • Working knowledge of French is also needed
    • German is an asset
