Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) contributes, as an RTO, to the development of Luxembourg’s economy and society via its three research departments. The Materials Research and Technology Department (MRT) translates cutting-edge research into practice focusing on advanced analytics, processing, fabrication and materials.
The Plasma Process and Engineering (PPE) group within the MRT department focuses its research on prototyping, upscaling and process development for organic, inorganic and hybrid functional coatings using chemical and physical deposition techniques (CVD/PVD) from the gas phase.
Energy harvesting from the surrounding is an appealing technology to power sensors, actuators and communication devices, which is an important milestone towards the IoT concept. The current internship subscribes within the SANS4NCC project in collaboration with Luxembourg University and targeting the development and investigation of nanocomposite coatings with a strong magneto-electric coupling. The trainee will be involved in the CVD process development of films relevant for the design of magneto-electric nanocomposite coatings.
The Internship subscribes within the SANS4NCC project, and the trainee will be involved in the CVD process development for functional coatings. The trainee will be supervised by the PI of the project and he will report to him while addressing the following tasks:
