Open Source Conference 2025 Luxembourg

The Open Source Conference 2025 will take place on 1 October 2025 in Belval, Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg. This is a major event to discover how organisations and institutions from the EU and around the world use and contribute to Open Source software.

Open Source software, together with data sovereignty, form the basis to achieve Digital Sovereignty as an inclusive effort where all the participants cooperate to create the tools we need to protect our data while sharing the technologies that improve everyone’s digital lives.

This year’s main tracks provide the opportunity to share the experiences of those that have chosen to produce and implement Open Source tools and platforms that improve security, resilience and data protection.

In particular, LIST will actively contribute with three major sessions:

• "Luxembourg AI Factory: building capacity for sovereign AI solutions" by Daniele Pagani
• "Open source initiatives at LIST to help developers create and test AI-enhanced applications" by Jordi Cabot
• "Building software with the BESSER open-source low-code tool" by Armen Sulejmani

In addition to international partnerships, local partners play a crucial role in this year’s edition, including CIRCL.lu, Digital Learning Hub, LIST, Lu-CIX,  Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity, Luxembourg Media & Digital Design Center, and uni.lu SnT,
