GASPOP final meeting

Exploring the microbiome of anaerobic digestion

The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) and their partners in the research project GASPOP "CO11/SR/1280949 - Influence of the Reactor Design and the Operational Parameters on the Dynamics of the Microbial Consortia Involved in the Biomethanation Process", funded by the Fonds National de la Recherche Luxembourg (FNR), will share the scientific results of the project activities on 21^st and 22^nd April 2016 at the LIST's premises in Belvaux.

The event, spread over two days, is desired to be interactive and a considerable amount of time will be allocated to discussions following several scientific presentations.

In addition to the LIST scientists and poject partners Paul Wilmes (LCSB- University of Luxembourg), Michael Klocke (ATB Potsdam, Germany), Emile Benizri (Université de Lorraine), and Andreas Lemmer (University of Hohenheim, Germany), invited speakers will also contribute to the success of the event. They include Jean-Jacques Godon (INRA-Laboratoire de Technologies de l'Environnement), Théodore Bouchez (National Research Institute of Science and Technology for Environement and Agriculture - IRSTEA), Anna Schnurer (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences), Christiane Herrmann (Leibniz-Institut für Agrartechnik Potsdam) and David Sillam-Dusses (Université Paris 13).

The gathering is a good opportunity to build research thematics around microbial ecology and microbial applications in the domain of anaerobic digestion for potential new collaborative projects.
