Space Resources Week 2022

 

The Space Resources Week 2022, organized in Luxembourg, is a 3-day conference connecting thought leaders from the terrestrial resources sector, aerospace industry, financial institutions, research institutes and academia. It aims at understanding the technical and economic challenges facing in-situ resource utilization (ISRU) and elaborating recommendations for the future development of this high technology sector.

Organized by the European Space Resources Innovation Center (ESRIC), in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA), the program of the event will include a series of captivating talks and facilitated discussion sessions on the technologies, business models and next steps that will enable space resources utilization in support of sustained and sustainable human presence on the Moon and beyond.

Discover the White Paper of Space Resources Week 2021

Last year’s edition focused on three major utilisation scenarios for space resources: landing pad manufacturing, rocket refuelling and sustainable infrastructure. Associated relevant topics also included the regulatory framework, financing and business models, the vision of the terrestrial companies, and the latest R&D achievements. 

All the lessons learnt are presented in this White Paper.

Call for abstracts

Attendees who wish to give an oral presentation and/or present a poster are invited to submit a one page abstract. The presentations will be integrated in the following sessions of the Space Resources Week:

• Space Resources Research: New and updated research developments from academic and commercial activities on space resources.

• Enabling infrastructure: Critical elements supporting the development and access to space resources.

• Capability demonstration: The latest elements advancing space resources utilisation.
