Innovation and Excellence in Cyber-security teaching in Higher Education - SecTech

On 23 November 2018, as part of its activities in Information Technologies for Innovative Services (ITIS), the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) participated in the SecTech conference organized by the Institute of Information Security Professionals (ISSP) in London (UK).

As project manager, Qiang Tang was LIST’s representative during this one day event. He made an introduction of the ”Innovation and Excellence in Cyber-security teaching in Higher Education” (SecTech) project, a collaborative European initiative to enhance the delivery cyber security teaching and the sharing of related materials.

Find more information about the meeting at risk-uk.com. Qiang Tang's talk introduced the background of the SecTech project and the importance of a European-wide cybersecurity curriculum.  It has shown the increasing level of cybersecurity issues, and has outlined the activities in the European (EU) scope. It also calls for collaboration at the EU level to develop and maintain an open-source and sustainable cybersecurity curriculum.
