LIST participation in the Transport and Logistic Fair in Munich

From May 9th to 12th May 2017, a delegation of the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), as well as of ITL and Regione Emilia Romagna, attended the “transport logistic 2017” fair in Munich, the industry's leading international trade fair, with more than 60,000 visitors from 120 countries.

LIST's presence was part of a larger national stand of Luxembourg, jointly organized by the Ministry of Economy and the Chamber of Commerce, and associating all the main players of the country in the field of transport and logistics.

The booth featured a demo of the Decision Support System for a Smarter and more Sustainable Construction Logistic of the SUCCESS project. It displayed over an interactive tangible table the impact of hypothetical policy decisions (related to consolidation centres, and to the size and euro tier of the delivery vehicles admitted in the city) on the performance of the deliveries associated with the pilot construction site studied by the project in Luxembourg City.

The demo was presented to dozens of visitors, mainly coming from the industrial and the research sector. All were positively impressed by the capacity of this application to aggregate in a collaborative, interactive and visual environment such a complex and vast amount of information.
