Advancing airless tire technology: design, optimization, and experimental analysis

This manuscript presents significant advancements in the design and optimization of airless tires through a novel combination of methodologies. First, it integrates a parametric FE model with four multi-objective optimization algorithms, including the innovative sunflower optimization (MOSFO) and Lichtenberg algorithm (MOLA), marking their first application to non-pneumatic tires. Second, the study bridges simulation and practice by fabricating and testing optimized designs via 3D printing, providing unprecedented insights into real-world performance. This dual approach—cutting-edge optimization combined with experimental validation—represents a critical step forward in addressing the challenges of stress, displacement, and mass in sustainable tire technology.
