LIST’s Building Information Modelling researchers welcome Bilal Succar from BIM Initiative

On 12 November 2018, Bilal Succar has paid visit to the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST). Bilal is a world-wide expert in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and an active researcher in BIM adoption. During a half-day seminar with LIST’s researchers, Dr. Succar has detailed the BIM Initiative’s main projects: BIM Dictionary, BIM macro adoption studies and competency project.

The research and tools developed by LIST in this field have been addressed: BIM4VET, a matrix of BIM competencies and associated training recommendation and BIMETRIC, a method and tool to evaluate the Return on Investment of BIM. The ongoing developments of BIMEET project are key in developing further these initiatives.

Bilal Succar is one of the speakers of BIMLUX 2018, taking place in Belval on 14 November 2018. He will be talking about BIM adoption in the world, looking both at the status today but also future challenges and opportunities opened by the digitalization of construction.
