Smart city - Innovation dating

Published on 29/11/2018

On 21 November 2018, the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) participated in the event Smart City: Innovation dating, that was organized by the Luxembourg Open Innovation Club (LOIC) at the House of Start-ups in Luxembourg.

This event brought together European start-ups and companies on the theme of smart cities, with a focus on the issue “How to overcome the challenges of a growing country?”. Also invited by the LOIC was Prof. Dr Eric Dubois, Director of ITIS. In his presentation, he provided a full overview of LIST-developed projects on the subject. As Dubois said: "Participating in this initiative has been a good opportunity for LIST to show its interest in exchanging and communicating about the range of its skills and technologies, that are developed with the objective to contribute to make the cities of the future more intelligent. It was also a chance for us to network with start-ups, project promoters and Luxembourg industrialists."

About LOIC

The LOIC was created in June 2016 by nyuko, the Lux Future Lab, Technoport and Luxinnovation and aims to encourage and develop open innovation in large groups and provide an introduction to startups. Several kinds of activities are offered to its members such as workshops, learning sessions or "innovation dating" like the one organized on Wednesday, 21/11.
