In conjunction with the 11th edition of the "Joint Business Council Taiwan-Luxembourg" (TLJBC) platform, the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) has welcomed a delegation of 24 entrepreneurs and researchers from Taiwan to its technology showroom at the Maison de l’Innovation in Belval.
The Taiwan-Luxembourg Joint Business Council (TLJBC) is a platform that helps Taiwanese and Luxembourg companies to strengthen their existing business contacts and/or to explore new opportunities in the areas of trade, investment, and research cooperation between Taiwan and Luxembourg.
After an overview of LIST as a Research and Technology Organization (RTO) developing at the heart of Luxembourg's innovation ecosystem, the Taiwanese delegation, led by Mr Walter Chang, vice-president of the China Association for International Economic Cooperation (CAFIEC), met LIST's three departments.
The delegation was able to learn about the core competencies and related activities, and then different presentations and demonstrations highlighted LIST's skills in:
These presentations and demonstrations resulted in some fruitful and productive discussions with members of the Taiwanese delegation, reflecting possible points of convergence. LIST's staff also had the opportunity to learn more about the development of the circular economy in Taiwan as well as to discuss projects focusing on clean tech, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), the Internet of Things, etc.
