Send an emailSince its inauguration in 2018, Space Resources Week has become the event of reference for the space resources community.
Hosted annually in Luxembourg, Space Resources Week is organised by the European Space Resources Innovation Centre (ESRIC), in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA), the Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA) and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST).
The event brings together space agencies, industry leaders, researchers and early-stage ventures. It is, by design, multidisciplinary, addressing the scientific, technological, economic, legal and regulatory dimensions of space resources.
We share a common ambition: to advance the sustainable and responsible use of space resources for our future in space and on Earth.
In this fifth-anniversary edition, celebrating five years of ESRIC, we take the opportunity to reflect on what has been achieved so far, how far the community has come, and what we aim to accomplish in the years ahead.
Looking forward, we need to map resources, plan future architectures for and with space resources, and develop roadmaps for translating ground-based research into space-ready technologies.
This 2-day intensive course aims to provide a broad overview of the space resources field, including the current knowledge of available resources in the Solar System; resource identification, collection, extraction, and processing systems under development; economic and technical feasibility studies; legal, policy, and socio-economic issues; as well as space exploration architectures and commercial ventures that may be enabled by utilising extraterrestrial resources.
The course culminates with teams of participants developing a space resource utilization plan to identify, extract, and use resources from space
Number of participants limited to 40
