At LIST we developed a digital system through which digitalisation processes, products or services can be improved (in particular via data science, modelling and numerical optimization). This has been applied to the waste industry but could also be applied to virtually any business.

- The SWAM project aims to create an intelligent waste collection platform with data generated by sensor technology, directly integrated into waste containers, in particular indicating how full they are.
- The OCTogone project aims to implement an IT tool to optimize the planning of waste sorting centres.
