The Betriber & Emwelt platform, in collaboration with the Environment Agency (AEV) and Valorlux, is organizing a webinar on the implementation of the extended producer responsibility (EPR) scheme specific to non-household packaging.
In accordance with European Directive 2018/852/EU, Member States must establish extended producer responsibility schemes for all packaging by December 31, 2024. Therefore, as of January 1, 2025, any company placing non-household packaging on the Luxembourg market will be considered producer.
Producers are required to submit an annual declaration to the competent authority regarding the packaging placed on the market and fulfill various other obligations in this context. The deadline for the first annual declaration to the approved organisation Valorlux Asbl was set for February 28, 2025.
The objective of this webinar is to:
Companies that package non-household products, as well as those that import such products or have them imported with non-household packaging, in order to place them on the Luxembourg market.
