Anna Sciani, a PhD student at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) has created a moving video for the American Geophysical Union’s 2015 Student Video Contest about the river in her hometown that motivated her to become a hydrologist. The Tagliamento in north-east Italy is one of the last naturally flowing alpine rivers, and her video “Drawing a Life Through a River”, one of the three selected for the final round of the contest, is a personal reflection on her childhood dream of protecting it.
