Innovation Accelerators

The Innovation Accelerators initiative launched by LIST aims to accelerate the transformation of research assets and technological capabilities into high‑impact solutions aligned with real market and societal needs.

Each Innovation Accelerator is built around LIST intellectual property and technological assets, combined with a clear market focus. The objective is to develop “must‑have” solutions that respond to concrete challenges faced by industry and society. These initiatives seek to balance technology push and market pull, ensuring that innovations are both scientifically strong and commercially relevant.

This workshop represents an important milestone in the development of the Innovation Accelerators.

During the event, selected project teams will present their innovation concepts and roadmaps to representatives from industry and the Luxembourg innovation ecosystem.

Participants are invited to contribute as both:
Experts : providing critical feedback on the relevance, impact and feasibility of the proposed concepts.
Potential partners : sharing their industrial perspective to help ensure that the projects being developed are aligned with real market needs and opportunities.

The objective of the discussions is to:

• Challenge the proposed concepts
• Identify the most valuable technological assets
• Highlight priority expertise and capabilities
• Refine expected outcomes such as demonstrators, prototypes, service platforms or spin‑off opportunities.

This collaborative exchange helps ensure that Innovation Accelerators focus on solutions that create real value for partners and can be implemented in practice.

The workshop will cover the following Innovation Accelerator themes:

• Circular Construction : Enabling competitive and resilient circular construction value chains through trusted data, science‑based performance validation, and faster regulatory adoption.
• X‑ceuticals Initiative : A bio‑digital platform designing molecules and microorganisms to enable sustainable bio‑based production and innovative solutions for health, nutrition, and wellness markets.
• Versatile Autonomous Systems : Development of versatile autonomous technologies combining software, hardware, AI/data fusion, functional safety and cybersecurity to create new applications beyond the automotive sector.
• Water Intelligence and Management : AI‑ and data‑driven technologies to improve monitoring and management of water systems, supporting flood resilience, water efficiency, and pollution reduction.
• Local Digital Twin : AI‑enabled digital twins to monitor, simulate and predict urban systems, supporting smarter and more resilient decision‑making for European cities.
• SCMM (Sustainable Composite Materials & Manufacturing) : Development of low‑carbon composite materials and manufacturing processes, demonstrated through applications in mobility sectors such as automotive, rail, space and aeronautics.
• Coatings Innovation : Accelerating the adoption of advanced industrial coatings through AI‑driven discovery and pilot‑scale validation.

Participants will join a dedicated workshop session corresponding to the topic selected during registration.
