The REACH&CLP Helpdesk Luxembourg, a national service of the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) ran on the 3rd and 12th February two workshops organised by MBR Lëtzebuerg with about 30 participants from the agriculture sector, each.
The objective was to inform people about the new European Regulation on the classification, labelling and packaging (CLP) of chemical mixtures which will enter into force on the 1st June 2015. The plant protection products used by the sector belong to these chemical mixtures. To safely handle these products, it is important for the sector to be aware of the new communication rules about the risks involving the use of these products (cf. new labels, new pictograms, etc.).
