Technoport S.A. and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) have signed a new strategic partnership agreement for 2026–2028 to boost the development of deep tech ventures emerging from public research at European level and to reinforce collaboration across Luxembourg’s innovation ecosystem. With this agreement, LIST becomes one of Technoport’s six Senior Partners.
Diego De Biasio, CEO, Technoport, says:
“This Senior Partnership with LIST marks an important step in strengthening Luxembourg’s position as a European hub for deep tech. By combining applied research excellence with Technoport’s entrepreneurial platform, we aim to accelerate the transformation of scientific breakthroughs into competitive companies with international impact.”
This agreement is illustrated in particular by enhanced and structured access to Technoport's deep tech community for LIST researchers with a view to promoting the establishment of collaborative research projects with established technology companies or those from Technoport's historical network, as well as optimised dissemination of scientific results to industry, thus supporting Luxembourg's national ambition to be at the forefront of European deep tech.
As a Senior Partner, LIST will join key innovation players at the Deep Tech Ventures Summit and participate in various entrepreneurial initiatives led by Technoport, thereby helping to raise the profile of applied research and support the development of future technology champions.
The Senior Partnership complements the synergies and activities currently being developed as part of the activities of LIST's Technology Transfer Office (TTO) with a view to raising awareness within the community through workshops, training courses and seminars, opportunities to transform technology into commercial success through spin-offs, and by integrating entrepreneurial and sectoral expertise through targeted support and the involvement of external expertise such as Entrepreneurs In Residence (EIRs) and alumni.
Dr Jurgen Joossens, Deputy CEO of LIST, concludes:
“Technoport offers a unique entrepreneurial environment that complements LIST’s technology transfer activities. United in our ambition to create value for our partners and society, we join forces with Technoport to accelerate innovation and turn bold ideas into real-world impact.”
